This game is pretty good. Wish i knew how to get phoebe's optional nudity though.

....is there by any chance a possiblity that you'll be able to filter what bosses you want to show up?, no reason i'm just.... wondering, Totally not thinking about the spongecake boss, don't mind me.

why in my version game custom sprites doesnt work

I Wonder If Any Of The Other Cake Flavours Will Have A Boss Fight In The Future? Because There Are 2 Bosses Based On Other Cake Flavours (Jelly And Spongecake.) And 1 Boss That Is Based On A Cake Flavour That Gives You An Ability. (Blue Berry.) So, This Really Makes Me Wonder What Other Bosses Will Be In Store For The Future?

The recent updates were amazing, I really love how much they added to the game. All the new characters are really cute and the way the bosses are done now really makes them stand out.

The higher wave versions get pretty frantic to fight with how much faster they move in general on top of increased bullet count.

I do kinda wish though that the optional vore was a tad bit easier to obtain on an average run since you have to deal with the RNG of a bubblegum cake either spawning a wave before or after the boss AND not only build up a lot of gas for decent damage but not use your burps once after getting the gum so you don't waste it.

Love it, donated, and still trying to find a way to make it to round 50 in any of the modes, made it to 39 at best. If anybody has done it, I could use some insight and tips.

If I had to condense my advice into a couple tips, it would be to try to gain as much weight as possible as quickly as possible in the earlier rounds (up to ~20 or so) so you can get as many helpers as you can, then try to keep your weight low with antimatter cakes so you have a better chance at dodging bullets. If I were to recommend a character it would be either Sally or Bella as they have the tightest hitboxes and the best powerup cake-exclusive helpers. Good luck man!

I believe, this is probably the best WG-Game i've ever played.

alot of effort, creativity, love, thought and art has been put into this.
Its so refreshing to see such a passionproject considering some recent cashgrabs on itch.io that were (in my opinion) only made to exploit horny people.

I don't even know, where to start.

From a non fetish perspective, the game is exceptionally good and addicting. It has such a unique and cute artstyle, smooth gameplay and well thought-out deep mechanics.
It all just helps to keep you hooked and continue to explore the builtin secrets, such as Player- and enemy forms.

now considering the fetish elements. the game has sooo much to see.
to start, this game is filled with a variety of WG/inflation kinks, which i appreciate (althought i'm not really much of a Boobs-typa' guy to be honest).
It's all fused well with the gameplay, which, as already stated before, hooks you into exploring them even further.

I could go on for pages with little detail that i enjoyed, but i wanna keep this as short as possible.

I donated a little money to the game because i just think it deserves to be a fully-priced game.

Hey, 'm back. This update is cool. Too cool even, I've been actually struggling to put this game down for a while. I've seen pretty much everything there is to see at this point (other than the new cake because I just learned there was another update but I'll get to that soon and edit this comment new cake cool), so here's a couple of my thoughts:

  • Hunting for bosses so you can fill their alternate defeat methods list is kind of a chore. The best method I could find was playing Mixed Palate over and over, but that's about the extent of the optimization you can manage. Literally every other method you could use has a caveat which makes it unsuitable: Boss Buffet has no powerups, skipping to a round just before a challenge stage activates cheats and disables checklist progression, and starting from the beginning (with only 2 stages before the first challenge stage) only works if the boss you're missing is one of the original 3, since the others only spawn from the second boss onwards. And it really doesn't need to be this way; sure, having to hunt for that damn jelly bitch with Phoebe made my final triumph more satisfying, but it wasn't really worth all the frustration; if powerup cakes appeared in Boss Buffet in a similar way to the bonus blueberry and antimatter cakes from Main Course and Watch your Weight I think you'd have a good solution for this issue in your hands and it would make the first 50 or so stages of the mode more interesting.
  • I'm stumped on getting the alternate defeat method for Bella on Shifty Sponge. It looks like it goes through properly at first but then she just bloats up and explodes? I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if that's a glitch as all the other ones work like you'd expect. I could always go back and test more but the aforementioned issues make such an endeavor a bit more than I'd like to deal with.
  • Game softlocks if you get hit by a stray bullet after reaching a challenge stage, but before the boss actually appears. Should be easy to replicate with Martha and leaving a coconut cake alive high up in the screen before killing it. Turning on Deadly Bosses just makes the game behave a little weirdly before going back to normal play.
  • You can still clench with Bella while the game is paused. By doing this you can actually change between states without spending GP, which I felt should've been an option from the start but probably not like this lol.

That's pretty much it for me at the moment. Despite the previous paragraphs I actually still enjoyed the update a lot, and the new characters are very fun to play with (Martha not so much but it's alright). Jiggling Jelly is probably my favorite boss, even after my favorite exploit got patched (rip nevermind, if you pace yourself such that she dies between firing a glob and you eating said glob, you get to keep the weight - not sure if that's intended but if it is, that's a pretty clever way to balance the fight, kudos), and will probably continue to be unless/until a molded cake boss gets added 'cuz she's freaky and I like that. The Sally sprite revamp was also much appreciated. Overall I'm just really glad this game's still in development, keep up the good work.

And by the way, as for a place to put custom character spritesheets... there's the WeightGaming thread, maybe it could get spammy after a while but I think it's worth considering nonetheless. Personally I'm eyeing the bosses more but as there's no custom boss sprites feature yet I guess I'll just bide my time. Sorry for the long winded comment, tl;dr game good, found couple glitches.

This is a very fun Galaga like game, the sprites are very cute and well done. Currently I'm having a problem with what size is the near impossible size. Other than that, very fun game

Ooh, I like this a lot... It would be nice to have a place where custom sprites are shared. We just currently don't have the energy to manage something like that.

I think someone shared theirs in here through a cloud service? But yea, I wish there was an easier way. I'm glad some of them are included in the base game files, I really like the Penelope sprites!

All I can say about this game is... It's SOOO GOOD! It's addicting just like balatro, it's so fun and it really HOT as well. When I play your first game long time ago I say "it's a good start, but I know you're going to cook something delicious" and you did! I'm really excited about this game in the future, and I hope your happy with this game cause me and other are really enjoying this game!

A lot of love has gone into this game! It seems like it's balanced so that you don't want to pick up items? It's hard to beat having a slender hitbox.

I just realized that this is a take on Galaga's double-ship system, the way it makes you wider.

Just want to say, LOVE the update. Im trying my hand at sprite making to make the cakegirls playable because of the new ones and two idea for the next update:
- the coconut girl could have multiple healthbars, though have a smaller health pool. The more you hit her (like the blueberry girl) the bigger she gets, except she blows up into other bullets that you'd have to dodge before officially winning.
- the cheesecake girl could split off into different versions of herself, each one shooter bullets at the player.

I don't know if this is intentional, but while doing some spriting for one of my characters, I noticed that bella2 and bella3 of the sprite templates are the exact same sprite sheet.

Is that intentional? Or was there meant to be a different sprite sheet for bella3.

So uh, is there a programmed kill screen in this game like old arcade games? At this point, it would take serious effort for me to game over.

This looks like you're still playing one of the early versions.  The distant helpers have a set limit in the latest builds.

I see, I didn't realize there were more releases because I forgot to hit follow on this game. Followed, and best of luck in your future.

Do you have any plans on adding a custom mode to the game?

As of now, I don't think so... though I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "custom mode."

By custom mode I mean a mode where you can customize what kind of cakes spawn during your run.

Ah, that might make a fun cheat...

I have an error since 1.1 that the custom sprites failed to load.
I have not move any new sprites or folder, the only thing the README says is to put the sprites in the folder.
Am I doing something wrong or its a bug?
( By the way incredible game, one me favorites <3 ) 

Use the template as reference to make sure the images are named correctly.

If the sprites are for Sally, make sure they're in the "sally" folder!

I also confused about 'why I can't put this custom sprites?' like you. But recently I figured by someone's advice. To use the custom sprites, you have to drag the custom images into the folder, which means 'put the image sets'.

For example, if you want Penelope sprite for sally, go to 'Penelope folder', then copy or extract the whole set of the image(files) from the folder. Then put on 'Sally folder' like this current screen you're showing.

To cut in short, don't just leave the folders. GET THEM OUT.

And for just in case(you would already knew though), 

1. Only using one set for one character will work.

2. In the game, you have to turn on the 'custom sprites on'.

3. If you want to change the custom sprites you're using now, put them back to their own folder, then change the sets or leave it to play as their default character.

You can also use copy instead of actually dragging out the files. This way you don't have to do step 3 every time

Hey, this is a really great game, but some people I've shown it to who have the same interests as me, say that the bursting is a turn off for them, any chance the next update could make it optional?

It should be optional for the most part. It was forced upon in certain instances in V1.102, but the choice to not burst was once again implemented in V1.103.

Though I suppose there are some instances where it happens anyway, mostly during specific secrets...

Anyways, I just came here to make fun of you for doing all this extra stuff without even adding controller support...but then you ADDED controller support!? Oh my gosh!

Now the only thing I have even vaguely resembling a complaint is that the sprites for the heart seem to completely ignore image opacity. Still having a blast, though.

There was an issue with custom sprites that should be fixed in the latest update. If the heart sprites aren't working well, there's a chance it could be the setting you've selected for Hitbox visibility in the options menu.

Hiya. (Extremely (first time!)) amateur skin maker and pixel art doer here. Your game was incredible - imagine my face when I saw the changelogs and played (especially as a fan of gas!) - I would simply like to know if there is a discord or forum i could use to find other peoples work to download or dev insight? I have tried to get the 'prostitute' skin posted to this page working but i admit i am no great PC comprehender.

Hi! Unfortunately, we currently don't have any Discord server or forum where custom sprites are shared. It's a nice idea, but we don't even know where to begin with running something like that...

And admittedly, the custom sprite system is a bit simple and aimless. Just keep in mind that this is our first project working with a new engine, and we're still learning as we go.

I have been playing this for a bit (wonderful game btw) and my only question is: HOW TF DO YOU EAT THE BOSS

I see things about the "Vore finisher" Option, Cant find it at all. very lost and annoyed

You need to deal the last hit to the boss using Sally's bubblegum ability. I reccomend trying to do this on Mixed Palate as it can be very difficult otherwise.

How to use?

Sally's bubblegum ability is used by holding the parry button after eating one of the bubblegum cakes. These cakes are very rare outside of Mixed Palate mode. Other characters also have their own unique special ability cakes.

Martha has a bursting glitch

The fattest updaate did so much and fixed every problem I had with the game even though I never vocalized it. The bosses are really fun. I might get tired of seeing them after a while, but they were interesting to see first time. (If I were to make an actual suggestion on that part it'd be a hard mode that reduces telegraphing on the Strawberry boss and other similar difficulty adjustments. Maybe even new moves). The chocolate boss in this update is amazing. I went from dreading seeing them to not disliking them more than any other boss. They don't have much unique, but it's great not having to sit under their hitbox to shoot them. You still have to play patient, but not too patient. But enough about bosses. What I really like is the change in gameplay loop. The new characters are nice. Not my focus, but they add tons in terms of content preferences and things to explore. I like that there's now actual gameplay incentive to get to max size and it doesn't just feel like a challenge modifier/punishment. The new tutorial explains a lot of things I wish I knew when first playing and helps you figure out what skilled gameplay looks like. At least pointing in the general correct direction. There's no way to truly know what the future meta will be like. Of course this is a given and was always there, but the art is nice. But now with the gameplay improvements, I can focus on how hot this game is without frustration getting in the way. Some of the achievements seem hard (or even tedious), but that's ok. A good thing even. Because they're completely optional and that sense of being out of reach rather than a part of normal gameplay are likely what make them worth it for achievement hunters. I'm not much of an achievement person, but I'm curious to see what happens at stage 50 and 100. It gives some direction and makes it feel less like going for score (which is fun with friends and when you can show off, but feels sad when you're alone and just trying to beat yourself after a while) and more like there is an end goal to reach and perhaps even surpass. Good job on this update. I'll probably even lob some money towards this because this is such a well designed game without getting too big/unwieldy/time-consuming. You can invest whatever amount of time you want and still get enjoyment out of it. Not even mentioning the improvements on hitboxes (temporarily invulnerability after upping size so you don't get caught off guard and other small improvements that might go under the radar of others). Great work.

That option is only currently available for Phoebe, and to do that, you need to change the hitbox visibility settings.

I just wanna throw out an idea for a new "finishing move" for the Jiggling Jelly Cake Girl, since she seems to be the most gluttonous of the Cake Girls, and her main gimmick is trying to fatten you up (it can be a toggle-able option for those not into vore). 


If the "vore finisher" option is toggled on, if Jiggling Jelly manages to make you immobile, instead of dragging you off-screen, she'll come down and open her cute, drooling maw nice and wide, and greedily gobble you up, and then afterwards she starts blissfully rubbing her now MASSIVELY engorged jelly belly and lets out a loud satisfied burp! :3
